A single ticket sold in California has won the entire $1.08 billion Powerball jackpot for the July 19 drawing on Wednesday. The all-important winning numbers drawn were: 7, 10, 11, 13 and 24 with the Powerball number 24. The PowerPlay multiplier was 2x.

The lucky ticket holder has up to a year to claim their windfall from lottery officials in California. They will also need to decide whether they wish to receive the full amount ($1,079,800,000) in annuity payments or take the reduced lump sum amount of $558.1 million, minus taxes.

California is no stranger to billion-dollar lottery wins, just last year Edwin Castro from California purchased a single ticket from a gas station in Altadena which went on to win the $2.04 billion record jackpot.
