Manchester United have confirmed their forward Bebe has completed a switch to Benfica on Friday.
The deal would see the Red Devils earn €3m and another 50% on any sell-on fee. A statement on United’s official website read,” Manchester United forward Bebe has joined Benfica in a deal worth up to €3million, with the right to 50% of any sell-on fee.”
The Portuguese player was signed by the former United manager Sir Alex Ferguson for £7.4m in 2010. However, he failed to impress at Old Trafford, forcing him to spent time away from United on-loan to get more playing time.
During the 2013-14 season, Bebe was with Paços de Ferreira for a season-long loan and the forward impressed during his time with the Portuguese club, which saw him attract interest from Benfica.
