Juventus heads into the weekend in 5th place but only two points behind 4th place Palermo. Fiorentina is 10th in the table with 35 points and only 6 back of the last Europa League spot.

Juventus has several injuries including Christian Poulsen, Antonio Chimenti, Mauro Camoranesi, Sebastian Giovinco, Martin Caceres and Gianluigi Buffon. Nicola Legrottaglie, Jonathan Zebina and Diego could be available for the match but it won’t be known until shortly before kick-off. Fiorentina will be missing Juan Manuel Vargas and Cesare Natali but will have leading scorer Alberto Gilardino available.

Fiorentina’s defense has been solid this season and will likely make the match a low scoring one. Juventus has been able to score goals on the road but can their defense hold up They had a run of unbeaten in four Serie A matches (2-2-0) but lost last week to Palermo. Fiorentina had a 1-1 draw at Lazion in their last league match.
