Barcelona’s record 16 games winning streak finally comes to an end against Sporting Gijon at El Molinon. A game that saw Barcelona pick up six yellow cards, David Villa was the only one to find the back of the net in the 80th minute and what a way to find the back of the net it was! Until then, Gijon led the game 1-0 – a lead they gained in the 16th minute through vice captain David Barral. Barral scored after running rampant all over the Barcelona defense.
