Javier HernandezJavier HernandezJavier Hernandez has left Manchester United and completed his loan switch to Real Madrid on the final day of the summer transfer window on Monday.

The deal is only for a season with an option to make it permanent at the end of the ongoing campaign. The Mexican international underwent medical at the Spanish capital club and completed his switch before being unveiled alongside Real president Florentino Pérez.

A statement on Real’s official website read, “Javier ‘Chicharito’ Hernández (Guadalajara, Mexico, 01-06-1988) is now a Real Madrid player.”

“The 26-year-old striker joins the club from Manchester United, where he scored 59 goals in 154 official matches and won two league titles and three Community Shields.”

The addition of Hernandez to 10-time European champions’ squad will give Real manager Carlo Ancelotti more options during the team selection. The La Liga giants have the services of French international Karim Benzema as the first choice striker in the squad.
