I’ll do a full analysis of tonight’s Championship results but I had to do a quick post on Preston’s extraordinary win. 4-1 down, 6-4 winners.

Firstly, further proof, if any was needed, that this division is crazier than most.

Secondly, Preston may not have a great squad but they have spirit. Class managers have the ability to make the most of the resources they have. Ferguson may be under pressure at the moment but if he does keep this side clear of trouble, it will do a lot to enhance his reputation

Thirdly, reality checks do not come much bigger than this. Leeds may have looked comfortable at this level after a good start but this is an important reminder for them of how they face a real battle if they want to be play-off contenders.
